Keeping the tradition

Life hasn't changed all that much in the village of Mcely. Fewer railroads and faster post (and you will be pleased to know the local fire department has modernised!); but many of the traditional industries of forestry, brick making, farming still go on.

We have collected images from as far back as the mid 19th century (when photography was in its infancy) to give you a rare insight into the daily lives of our forebears.
