The hard work begins!

This was a little trickier than remodelling our last house... The reconstruction was started in 2004 and will have taken nearly 3 years from concept to realisation. Looking at the chateau today, it is difficult to imagine the sight that first greeted our eyes in 2002. It has taken an incredible team of dedicated and passionate professionals to put Mcely back together -- in what we hope is even more glorious style than the original!

Needless to say, all walls needed complete refurbishment

However the fine interior contours remained, our main clue that the project of restoration was feasible
