Genesis of design

How does one go about reconstructing an 17th century chateau with limited records and plenty of imagination?

In the following galleries, we take you inside the mind of our chief designer - Oto Blaha. Oto is one of the top designers in the Czech Republic and over the past decade had been responsible for some of the most lauded (and imitated) interiors in Prague and elsewhere.

It is a rare and fascinating experience to look back at the thinking and planning that has gone into the construction of the 2-3 years leading up to the opening of the Chateau.

We hope you enjoy browsing these archives which show snippets from the process "warts and all" !
